The European

Well, I have let so much time come and go since the last blog. I will be turning 40 next month.
I have dated, what I would say significant dating, two men since my last posting.
The first I will call Jan.  He is European.  He lived nearby in Austin and owned his own business. We connected on SO many levels. I had started running (quit smoking when oldest girl turned 16) and started running 5 and 10ks.  He was redheaded like me, started working out on my behalf (how sweet is that?).  We got along great....however. He had FOUR kids. All the way from 14 to 4. I love kids, I teach school but I do NOT want to start over again.
We got along SO well..... however, he wanted more. He wanted to get together when he had kiddos, which I didn't think was such a good idea. Not that I'm a bad person, but I just didn't think adding kids into a mix that I was unsure of was a good idea.  We ran a couple of 5k's and 10k's together and had a blast. However, it didn't last.
One problem I had (maybe I'm "off" here), was that everytine he would post on FB, his ex-wife (who left him), would comment on it.  I mean she was ALWAYS the first!! Is that not creepy?? I mean, she left him, moved in with a boyfriend with all four kids, but was always posting on his FB.  I found that somewhat creepy!?!
We tried, broke up and tried again.  He was good on many levels (believe me when you hear European men are NOT circumcized!)! I don't think it matters too much. Maybe I didn't have access to that to make an informed decision. However, he WAS 6'3 and had a shoe size of 12..... enough said.
Soooo with all that being said, and having discussed it has been many, many months since I last posted. I am tired, have had my second glass of wine, watching re-runs of Sex in the City, and am pooped.
I am trying to watch calories, work out more, and be prepared to see Choctaw, whom I haven't mentioned .  He is from last Spring that has "re-appeared" recently.
My girls are progressing in life. We had only TWO mental breakdowns this week. The oldest, who "came out" this past summer is doing all she can to be normal and fit in. The youngest, I picked up yesterday in a ball of tears having mentioned that she made a "bad decision" that she would like to tell me about, rather than my finding out on my own....OMG! Stay tuned!
